This is compelling and important, Ken. Thanks for sharing Don’s story.

I clicked on a couple links while I was reading and noticed his church is in Toledo, one of the US’s least known cool little cities.

I love to see progressive change bubbling up from unexpected places. But I’m certainly sorry for all the pain Don have to go through.

And maybe most importantly, the reality of the Evangelical Covenant Church, the fact that despite their smiles and friendlines they reject LGBTQ people, needs to be out in the open and not hidden in rose-colored shadows.

I just spent a few minutes at their website, and unless you dig, you’d think they were pretty cool. You would never guess they were the kind of hoary old institution that would practice hate by purging pastors like Don.
