They just won’t quit. No matter that two generations of ex-gay or reparative therapy movements have shut themselves down almost completely because their leaders have admitted they could not deliver on their promises.

In fact many of them turned out to be diddling guys on the side as they were preaching about how they could deliver people from being gay.

It’s now been 30 years since the Christian right began pushing movements that promised to change people’s sexual orientation. That’s 30 years of complete and abject failure to accomplish anything of the sort.

But they won’t stop pushing the narrative. Facts don’t matter to them.
