They have been doing this off and on for years, Charles. It’s all rather mysterious, because there’s no obvious way they seem to be making money from it.

They clone a bunch of Medium stuff, a bunch of people report them, and their host takes them down.

Then a little while later they’re back at it.

In a couple of their iterations they had links in my articles that led back to my Medium content. The last time I looked they had stopped that but at least they were crediting me with my name. But for other people they weren’t.

It’s annoying, but the faster you swap them down the faster they pop back up.

Nobody seems to have gotten a handle on what’s in it for them or why they’re doing it.
