They don’t have much choice but to suppress democracy, do they? They are in a minority, and they know it.

Sure, Trump supporters are in favor of autocracy, but what they need to stay in power is more like oligarchy. Trump lost the popular vote in 2016, and his supporters are fine with that.

Sure, they want us to go to Canada, but they also want our votes to be suppressed or stop counting as much.

That’s really the long and short of the Republican Party strategy.

Gerrymander, disenfranchise, suppress. Minority rule.

It’s been working for them, and if we win this year, it might be our last chance to achieve major structural change to put real majority rule back on track.

I’m not going to Canada. I’m staying in the United States to do my small part to make sure these necessary changes take place.
