The whole world-shifting thing. 🙄

Sorry, I'm not rolling my eyes at you. I hear you. I'm rolling my eyes at the thought that trans people, who represent no more than about 2% of the population, can really shift worlds. (In either a good or a bad way.)

You know, a large percentage (maybe a majority) of trans folks fly under the radar. If either of us passed Tucker on the street, we wouldn't look twice at him unless we were admiring his stylish fedora.

Of course, neither of us is disposed to have a problem with the existence of trans people, so we likely wouldn't pay extra-special attention to somebody who might (in our casual estimation) be trans. Our worlds wouldn't shake one way or the other, especially since having a moment like that wouldn't occur (unless we intentionally frequented queer spaces) often enough to be significant.

All this recent transphobia is like fearing the bogey man or the monster under the bed — fear of something that can't actually hurt us.
