The US government’s pathetic response to the covid-19 crisis will go down in history as an example of extreme incompetence and heartlessness.

I recognize that the Republican Senate stands in the way of a meaningful response, and I know Pelosi wanted to do more, indeed held out for more.

But I entirely agree with you that her public statements have been inadequate and counterproductive.

People must be made aware that the Republican party is stopping meaningful stimulus and stopping the Democrats from getting aid to the people who need it most.

Pelosi needs to be the person underlining that, and she is not doing it. I don’t understand why.
