The sort of thing goes on constantly all over the United States, but only rarely makes the news. Entire YouTube channels are devoted to showcasing incidents where cops treat Black people terribly, but not in ways that lead to serious injuries or death. I'm presuming this piece made the news because an ambulance driver is involved. But you can be sure that dozens of cases just like it in the same community have happened without mainstream coverage.

The Rochester Police have been involved in several well publicized cases of racist violence. It's not reasonable to suppose those cases are isolated.

This cop had excellent reason to believe he would get away with bullying the ambulance driver. That's the kind of environment he works in, and he expects to get away with it.

The barrel of apples has a serious rotting problem.
