The school district did resolve the problem. By transferring those students out of a classroom with a lesbian teacher.

Obviously, it is appropriate to involve the federal government when local authorities behave in such despicable ways.

There's nothing to resolve here except to stop those despicable homophobic district leaders from doing what they're doing.

Every citizen of the United States has the expectation that the federal government will uphold civil rights. And that is clearly what must happen here.

I hope the Department of Education comes down on them with the biggest hammer possible. The homophobes who run that school district need to learn that their hatred will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

That's not a bad division or anything else. It's about basic human decency. It's about respecting human rights. It's about queer people refusing to be treated like shit.
