The same Southern heroes who lost the fight to secede from the Union? The same fight referred to in the allegiance oath that calls the union indivisible? Those heroes?

So, children will be reciting the oath to give them a sense of patriotism ... but not, apparently, a sense of the history of the United States ... which is, evidently, inconvenient to the framers of this document.
