The library board's mandate includes setting policy about what books go in collections. I don't where you got the idea that libary boards don't set collection policy, but you are mistaken. The board has mostly voted with Hill in these book-banning matters. It's hard to imagine they would suddenly stop voting with Hill and boycott him instead. The reason for my story is that librarians are facing effective political pressure to remove LGBTQ books from their collections.

If you see something legally actionable in Hill's conduct, it's esacaping me and everybody else who's looked into this situation.
