The falling-in-love experience is so special, profound , powerful and life-changing.

I've been privileged in my 60-ish years on the planet to experience it three or four times, and I look back on each time with tremendous fondness and ... not a little anxiety.

Falling in love is, in my opinion, temporary. Building a permanent loving relationship is a different thing, full of its own rewards, but less magically intense than falling in love and requiring a lot more work– not to mention probably requiring a bit of good luck.
