The detestable irony here is that as a nation, we’ve created a system that DEPENDS on low income workers earning wages that can’t sustain them.

Minimum wages are absurd. The pittances that our largest corporations pay the bulk of their work force are absurd.

As wealthy pundits and politicians complain about welfare, they seem to forget they’re feasting from a table laid across the backs of people without whom they would have no wealth.

When workers can’t survive on their wages and must receive assistance to feed their children, we should all remember that their employers are truly the ones getting welfare.

We should all remember that the taxpayers are subsidizing the wealthy by making up for the wages they aren’t paying to their employees.

I’m frankly amazed that the employer classes have the gall to complain about welfare. After all, it helps keep them in champagne and caviar.
