The Democratic Party seems asleep at the switch. I wrote about their lack of energy and messaging a couple weeks ago, and caught a bunch of flack from loyal Democrats who told me I should be getting out the vote instead.

But that was the point of my article, that Democratic leadership needs to be getting out the vote, needs to be energizing the American people, confronting Republicans head on, harnessing enthusiasm for positive change.

Instead, we get insipid, neutral, uninspiring messaging. Your congresswoman hands Democrats a gift, a great big brightly wrapped present, twice in just a few days, and the Democratic leadership just hands it back.

How are we supposed to win like this?
