The "cult of woke." If invoking anything could indicate a lack of genuine dialogue and thoughtfulness, invoking that phrase does. Anyone even half paying attention knows that "woke" refers to Black people talking about being woke to racism and consequent injustice.

For Dawkins to echo the right's pejorative and inaccurate sense should embarrass anyone paying attention. If anything indicates a lack of desire for genuine discourse, that does.

Maybe Dawkins should go back to what he's good at, communicating complex ideas about biology to lay people.
