The Constitutional Sheriff's movement is quite popular here in western Michigan. You may remember that a group of men here conspired to kidnap and put the governor on trial for some sort of imagined crime she had committed.
The FBI infiltrated the group and arrested them before they could act on their plans.
An elected sheriff in a county near me spoke up in defense of the men, saying they had every right to perform a citizens arrest of the governor.
It probably won't surprise you to learn that that sheriff touts Constitutional Sheriff philosophies.
I just have to ask myself, if he's okay with kidnapping elected officials, what else is he okay with? What other bizarre practices is he up to?
