The central issue here is not about Facebook. It’s about how Facebook reflects society at large, which accepts oppression and persecution of LGBTQ people for religious reasons. If you can’t understand that, if you think such persecution is so unimportant as to merit being called “slight,” I can only observe you lack empathy and basic human decency. Ask anyone who loses employment or social opportunity because of how Christians react to their minority sexual orientation or gender identity how “slight” their problem is, and I can promise you’ll get an earful of pain, and quite possibly a few curses to boot.
