The board's reversal is one of the first stories I saw in my newsfeed this morning, and it made me very happy.
I gefawed just a bit at one of the member's non-apology apologies. (He said he was sorry for his "poor choice of words," not his actual sentiment.)
But I don't want to be uncharitable. Whether his apology was sincere or not, he voted to overturn the previous decision.
So good for him for changing his mind. And good for the local community for showing up in force at the school board meeting and expressing themselves so clearly and directly.
That's what we need! Bravo to them!
