That’s one of the reasons I was so happy to write this story and jumped on it so quickly. (I didn’t even know about it until yesterday morning, and I usually take several days to write a story.)

It’s not often when groups like this do you a big favor and tell you exactly who they are in a way that most people will find repulsive.

MFL already realize, I think, what a huge tactical error they made by being honest about their sexism. They’re in major damage control mode now, making two contradictory points:

1.) "This is fake news. We did not call for banning these books." They did, repeatedly and publicly, but loud denials are often believed.

2.) "Local parents like the ones in PA have the right to decide what school children read." Here, they seem to be defending the book ban and contradicting point 1, while reinforcing the notion that keeping books out of children’s hands is a laudable goal.
