That’s little different in spirit, really, than old fashioned Irish wakes, which tend to be boozy and raucous.

Sure, there are lots of tears, but there’s lots of laughter and storytelling too.

But New Orleans has everyone beat hands down. I love Irish folk music, but it can’t hold a candle to jazz.
