That's got to be just about the silliest "concern" I've ever heard. Surely Rebekah is aware of all the Christian churches in the United States that fully welcome and affirm LGBTQ Christians. How could she possibly be unaware? She can't have missed all the news coverage about reactionary haters leaving large affirming denominations because they can't bring themselves to worship with queer Christians or with anyone who wants to worship with queer Christians.

(The United Methodist Conference comes to mind. About 10% of the churches in the denomination are leaving because they can't stand the 90% that are cool with queer people.

Surely Rebekah is therefore aware that many queer people ARE Christians.

Unless Rebekah is uncommonly uninformed or stupid, she already knows that rainbow colors, Pride flags, etc. have nothing to do with excluding Christians.

But she isn't uncommonly uninformed or stupid. She knows exactly what she's doing, which is insisting that queer people can't be Christians by her excusionary definition of Christianiry.

She's leveraging her religious bigotry to divide people and sow fear and hatred.

She should stop, if for no other reason than that sowing fear and hatred is as unchristian as you can possibly get.
