That's an excellent point. Fear of self, fear of the Other, and fear of change often combine to produce extremist hostility toward those who are different.

What's sad (but not unusual) is that Williamson County residents are invoking the name of Jesus to encourage hostility toward the Other, a message completely at odds with what Jesus actually taught.
