Thanks so much, Devon. It’s interesting that you would point this out, but I’ve just been mulling over how so much of my writing, fiction and nonfiction both, seems to key on trauma recovery. I never really thought about it or even tried to choose a theme. It just sort of oozes out between the lines. Lots of young people today are growing up with less trauma than when I was a kid, but the amount of trauma we collectively accept for our children is (I think) far too much.

Which I guess is partly why I spend my days writing instead of working in my garden or fishing.
