Thanks, Kay, but that’s not the issue I’m referring to.That letter is about a separate issue in which tallies aren’t added up correctly at first, but which do eventually after databases sync.
I’m talking about a much more serious problem in which readers with mobile devices aren’t able to clap at all. The data never makes it to any part of the Medium database, so counting is moot. But they think they have clapped, because their local display makes it look like they have for a while.
The problem I’m talking about is pervasive and severe, and is not the the problem that Lucius is talking about.
It’s critical that somebody at Medium respond to the mission-critical situation. Medium, Medium Staff, and Your Friends @ Medium, will somebody please respond? Readers who are clapping from mobile devices very often do not have their claps recorded.
