Thanks for this! You've provided some very valuable advice advice to fellow gay Christians. I wish more of it was applicable here in the United States than it is in the UK where you live.

Here, Evangelicals are so implacably homophobic that ostracization from community and even close family is almost the inevitable result of coming out. Being a practicing Evangelical and gay at the same time is a non-starter. (There may be isolated exceptions, but Evangelical hatred of LGBTQ people is so intense and unrelenting here that I don't think so.)

I hope we get to the where you are one day, even though what you've described is clearly less than ideal.

Progress is glacial sometimes, sigh.
