Thanks for the comment, and I do understand where you're coming from. I just feel it's important to call attention to prominent homophobic leaders like the Archbishop of Canterbury and his enablers like the Primate of Canada who excuse his overt, unchristian hostility to LGBTQ people.
This story should shock anyone who reads it, should make people white hot with anger. Sadly, it does not. Most people just shake their heads and suppose that excluding LGBTQ people is just sort of normal and how things must be.
Which is why things don't change.
The vast majority of people who attend services in the Church of England support LGBTQ equality. But are they standing up and demanding that their leader either change or step aside for someone who will act like Christ?
Nope. Instead, they're counseling LGBTQ people to sit down and be quiet.
That reaction is just stunning. I can't comprehend it. Why are people so foul and evil so often? Why are Christians so found and evil so often?
I don't get it. I really don't.
