I have a story coming up soon, either the weekend or early next week in which I’m going to explore the the evangelical theme more closely, by talking about my relationship with Hyman Appleman, another celebrated evangelist and one of Graham’s mentors and teachers.

I’ve written the personal part of it already, memories of childhood, but I have to figure out how to frame it still.

I have to figure out how to relate the kind man I knew with the terrible message I knew he spread.

Nobody ever said writing was easy, did they?
