Thank you, Steven, for this very kind apology, though I feel I owe you one too. Not to risk pouring gasoline myself, let me say just very briefly that sometimes those of us who feel most hurt by religious judgment can feel like religious words contain codes, codes were are accustomed to from long experience, even when they are not intended. I should have listened more closely and not jumped to presume meaning that did not exist. I am sorry I did not.

By the way, did you know I am a big fan of Asterix? I even made reading it in the original French one of my goals when I was learning the language. As a bit of a Roman history buff, I even wrote a romance/proto-fairy tale with a Gaulic hero, naturally with a gay theme. ;-)
