Thank you so much for writing so well about this beautiful queer space in Athens. And thanks for sharing the conversations about Zak and his murder.

The world is a big place, and the struggle for justifice for Zak and his family are not well known in my corner of it.

We do, however, confront many of the same issues. Here in the U.S., police routinely brutalize marginalized people, some of whom die, and true justice is delivered only in exceptional circumstances.

Black people, immigrants, and queer people are most at risk, with trans women of color probably standing at the epicenter of the brutality problem.

Thanks for writing this story and spreading awareness about your corner of the world!
