As for these splinter groups, I’m very disappointed that major media, including the relatively progressive Guardian, see fit to reference the group you link to in many if not most of the articles they write about transgender issues.

That group is indeed splinter and fringe, and in many ways extraordinarily anti-LGB as well as anti-trans. Some of its founders and directors do work for explicitly anti-LGB groups.

It’s beyond me why the Guardian and other relatively respectable publications find quoting that group to be necessary to their journalism when writing about trans issues.

They imply that significant opposition to transgender equality exists among broader LGB communities, and that simply is not true.
