You know, I plug suicide hotlines all the time, mostly when I write disturbing stories. I've interviewed researchers on the subject of hotlines, and I've done some profile stories about hotline volunteers. Yet, somehow, I've never visualized the process of reaching out to a hotline because I was in need.

I'm really glad you're doing much better, and I'm glad you shared this with us. I think people who read your story will be more likely to reach out for help if or when they need it.
