Thank you for writing this! It's discouraging to see extremist ideologues spotlighted at what is supposed to be a dispassionate scientific conference. Merely participating will enhance their credibility, which is undeserved given they have demonstrated that their extreme anti-trans positions are based on personal views and presumptions rather than on evidence.
If a person already believes (for cultural reasons) that transgender identity should be suppressed and discouraged, the likelihood of their dispassionately evaluating medical evidence seems quite low.
If an "expert" has a record of trolling Twitter to express disdain for transgender people, what value can he genuinely add to a medical conversation about treating transgender people?
