Then, as if to thoroughly demonstrate how far down a transphobic rabbit hole UK politicians have descended, Labour Party leader Keir Starmer kicked in to say he too thinks the proposal is pretty peachy.

His pronouncement pretty much seals the books on the question of whether any major political representation is available for trans people in the United Kingdom.

Under Starmer's leadership, Labour is now as unabashedly transphobic as the CP.

These are dark and frightening days.
