Thank you for such a fascinating and detailed article. PCR deniers have been around for a long time, often cropping up in the world of HIV denial. It’s a real puzzler.

But you know, one thing we can tell from HIV is that PCR really and truly works, empirically speaking.

We have years and years of data collected from several enormous studies to show that HIV+ people who test HIV undetectable on PCR tests don’t pass HIV on to their long-time sexual partners with whom they regularly have unprotected sex.

If PCR did not work, the way the conspiracy theorists say it doesn’t work, we would not be seeing this super strong correlation. Nor would we be seeing levels of new HIV infections approaching zero in areas where treatment programs rely on PCR to target people for treatment.
