Thank you, Anne. I should write about my own experiences with the OJ verdict. I was working at an HIV services agency at the time, and people of color made up a large part of our client and staff. My experiences matched yours. White women were quietly appalled. Black women rejoiced. We men largely looked on, trying to keep our opinions to ourselves.

One Black man spoke up and broke it open. It was a very interesting and intense afternoon.
