One interesting thought of yours to focus on. When you say “progressive people may not need to hear it,” that’s true to an extent. But in a very interesting (and highly discouraging) phenomenon, when I call out Christians for holding evil beliefs about LGBTQ people, when I blast Christians for calling us sinners, it’s progressives who often as not tell be to be quiet, tell me I must “respect” religious belief.

That really tells me how we queer people are just the lowest of the low, even in “progressive” circles. No progressive person ever tolerates racist religious belief, but progressive people constantly tolerate homo/transphobic religious belief and often scold me for being “intolerant.”
