Thank you! As Logan says, we're going to need every voice. It's not just the U.S., you know. The global anti-LGBTQ backlash is growing larger and more violent every day.

We published a story this morning alongside yours about a young gay man in Italy who just had a very violent, frightening experience.

Italy has been roiled by the same populist, Christian nationalist, regressive politics as the U.S., and queer people are in the crosshairs. To the point of swelling public violence.

In large swathes of Africa, anti-queer violence — fueled by U.S. Evangelical Churches and missionaries — has been reaching terrifying levels.

It's not just that authorities are increasingly throwing queer people in prison — it's that mobs are dragging queer people out of their houses and beatings them, sometimes to death, while the authorities look the other way.

The US has been no refuge, even under the Biden administration, and it probably would not have become one under a Harris administration, as the Democratic Party enthusiastically embraces demonizing desperate refugees.

It feel sometimes like we have no true allies left. I known that's not actually reality, but we live in hard times, which are set to become much harder very soon.

So, thank you for raising your voice .
