Thank you! The Catholic Church is such a sickeningly evil institution. I'm relentlessly aware of that as a gay man, whom the church characterizes as literally depraved and disordered because I'm gay.

Every priest and nunin the Catholic Church, in order to take their vows, must affirm disgusting doctrines about me and the people I love.

And just recently, Pope Francis ripped off his mask of "civility" as he twice in 2 weeks instructed other bishops and priests that gay men are not qualified to train for the priesthood in seminary because there's already too much "fagotry" in the Vatican. (He used an Italian word that my Italian friends assure me as every bit as horrible in Italian as it is in English.)

And he derailed efforts in Western Europe to reform that horrifying theology. He ordered discussion of reform off the table at the ongoing synod — meaning queer people have no hope of being treated as morally decent people within the Catholic Church — at least, not anytime soon.

I hold him in contempt for his vicious beliefs and practices.

I hold Catholic nuns in priests in contempt for their foul, disgusting beliefs about me and the people I love.

Thank you for spreading awareness about how evil the Church is! It's time for people of goodwill in human decency to flee the pews en masse. That's the only thing that will de-fang the cruel monsters who run the church.
