Talk about intersectionality! You don’t get much more sexist than trying to control women’s bodies in order to desexualize them.

The idea that women should be demure and not express sexuality is rooted in misogyny — it depends on the idea that women’s sexuality is threatening and that men are unable to control themselves around it.

Now throw in the respectability politics, and problems start popping out everywhere.
