Starmer is still playing both sides of the fence. Note he's refusing to agree Duffield's remarks are transphobic when they obviously are. He will not commit. And he calls for "respectful" debate about trans equality. So far at least in the U.S., no Democratic leader would be caught dead saying something so awful. For now at least on the left here, debate is not tolerated. Trans equality is an undebatable given on the left, as it should be.
