Speaking of shocking DUI cases, have you heard about the one in Tallahassee where a white woman cop is caught on her own body cam (and on another body cam from another perspective) planting evidence? She didn't smell alcohol, but she detained the Black suspect because he refused a field sobriety test. She put him in the backseat of a police cruiser, then searched his car, found an unopened, sealed flask of vodka, opened it, poured it out on the ground, and then threw it in the passenger seat and told her supervisor when he arrived on scene that it was open when she found it. That's on camera too.
That was the justification to arrest and charge the suspect.
When the body cam came to light, the local prosecutor still charged the case, and the judge won't throw it out.
The cop who was caught on two cameras planting the evidence has not being disciplined.
This is where we are right now.
