Sometimes when you’re too afraid or don’t feel strong enough to look ahead, you have to look down at your feet and put one of them in front of the other, and then do it again. And again. Until you’re strong enough to look up again.
I know that’s easy to say. But a couple of times in my life when things were so bad I thought they could never possibly get better, looking down and concentrating on how to move kept me going long enough.
