Sometimes it feels like the only people who can morale boost us is us. I woke up this morning to a comment from a TERF on one of my articles. She went out of her way to argue that trans women are a threat to cis women. I answered her with a very cutting response: the data doesn’t bear you out. You are factually wrong.

She spent hours writing multiple paragraphs of hateful sophist nonsense in response.

I’m used to that. Whatever.

But then I noticed my response to her had been read over 100 times (with zero applause), which meant over 100 people had read and apparently approved of her evil message.

Combine that with the fact that the BBC just told it reporters not to go to Pride events anymore because LGBTQ equality is controversial and their impartial reporting could be called into question.

It’s all too much sometimes. I used to believe LGBTQ equality was on an unquestionable path of progress. Not anymore. Too many vile people like my commenter this morning think it’s cool to trash us.

I’m on the verge of screaming and pulling my hair out.

Sorry, rant over.

Sigh.
