Something I started to do a couple years ago with my Medium essays was to hit my intro section really hard. I would try to make it powerful enough to summarize the point that I was trying to make, and engage people’s interest.

Then I would write the body using rhetorical methods and quotations, along with all the pertinent facts.

Then I would hit the conclusion really hard, trying to make it emotionally powerful and also wrap up and refer directly back to the introduction.

Once I started doing that, I got a lot more engagement with my articles, and by the way, got curated a lot more often.
