You had a chance for sincere dialogue. You have ignored me, alto, Saoirse, Fred Shirley, and now you’re ignoring Eric Griggs too.

It doesn’t make any difference if you release whatever private conversations you and I had. I already told you I believed you if you have evidence you didn’t say the word bigot. So it doesn’t matter. You can say you’re right. You can say it already since I conceded the point many hours and several conversations ago.

I’m humbly asking you to talk about the real issues at hand instead, and I’ve asked you nicely many times. But instead of choosing to respond to our sincere points or take our hands extended to you honestly in friendship, you are demonstrating to us that we are correct to fear Mormons. We are correct to believe our observations that Mormons wish to persecute us and harm us.

We are right about you guys hating us, aren’t we?

You still have a chance.

Just respond to the points Saoirse’s raised in her post to you. Honestly and sincerely, just like I’ve been talking to you tonight.

Or you could choose to be a dick instead. It’s really up to you.

Personally, given that you’re a Mormon, I sadly suspect that you’re going to choose to be a dick. Because all my decades of life experience have taught me to fear Mormons. They’ve taught me that Mormons hate us and wish to harm us. You Mormons have taught me to flinch if I’m near one of you.

Go ahead and prove me wrong. I want you to.

Grasp our hands still temporarily extended in friendship. They won’t be open to you much longer. Acknowledge and apologize for the institutional persecution of the Church that you’re part of, that you support and that you give money to. Tell us you’re sorry for the hurt and pain you’ve caused.

I’ve humbled myself tonight. You can join me if you’re strong enough.
