So silly, right? One of them even commented to my comment, telling me that it's obvious that some art is Christian even if it doesn't say it is. Like Bach.

What? I can't imagine how someone could even suggest that. Bach's music is certainly glorious and beautiful, and in most cases he composed it after being commissioned by the church. Just like Michelangelo, but that's another story.

The point is, you can't listen to Bach's fugues and hear a Christian message. There aren't even any words.

Was he influenced by his Christianity? I can't imagine he wasn't. But nobody who wasn't already a Christian could listen to the music and discern any Christian theme.

Just like you could not read Tolkien and reconstruct any part of Christianity. Sorry, but you just could not do that.
