So much positive came out of the AIDS era, and this agency is a great example of that. Thank you for sharing this story! Back in the '90s, along with a network of friends, I helped take care of a few AIDS patients who needed help to stay at home.

I've written about that, and shared some of my personal experiences, but I've not often mentioned how much our friends living with HIV and AIDS relied on God's Love We Deliver. The food they provided made the difference between people being able to live in the comfort of home or end up in hospital or hospice.

One of the friends I worked with in this volunteer care network organized an annual boat-cruise fundraiser for GL. So, every year my partner and I jumped in with both feet to help organize, sell tickets, and staff the boat. Every year, our little group wrote a significant check to GL.

And that was just one small group of friends. Multiply us by dozens and dozens of volunteer groups, and you can see why GL took off so fast and expanded enough to never have to turn away somebody in need.

God's Love We Deliver is a truly a story about the best of humanity rising up to care for those who can't care for themselves. It's an inspiration. Thank you for highlighting them!
