So many of these little physical cues go unnoticed except subconsciously. I'm chuckling to remember sharing with my foster son when he was about 15 that he needed to shave for the same reason I needed to in my twenties — not to get rid of non-existent whiskers, to get rid of peach fuzz!
When I was 23 or 24, I don't think anybody read the peach fuzz as feminine, but they certainly read it as an age marker — that I was younger than I really was.
In those days, I wanted to look older. 🤣 (Oy, how time changes things!)
I hope your legal transition goes well. It's great that you're in Colorado where things are at least somewhat easier and less dangerous.
