So many families with LGBTQ members are stuck in red states. Moving is just too expensive or impractical in other ways. And just like I wrote about the other day with respect to quiet censorship, which strips books from library shelves unofficially, job security for LGBTQ people is at great risk unofficially.

Yes, Bostock theoretically protects us, but how many of us can actually file a federal lawsuit if we believe we've been fired because we're queer? Maybe more to the point, how many of us could prove it in court even if we know it's true?

These are tough days for queer people who live in states dominated by the Republican Party.
