So here we have a bunch of Christians literally deciding that Jesus's commands to love one's neighbor and to care for children are less important than judging people for their "sinfulness."

You've been writing a lot lately about how conservative Christians are drawing lines in the sand, deciding to define their Christianity by opposition to LGBTQ people.

Nothing could highlight that better than this story.

Here we have a school reaching out to underprivileged neighborhoods and giving children a free, excellent education that they would not otherwise receive.

And here we have conservative Christians saying they will stop doing that because of the gays.

I can't imagine the Jesus of the Gospels would have been OK with that.
