So happy for you! Happy the treatment is working, and happy that you are blessed to have money to pay for it.

It's so sad that vision saving treatment like this is limited to people with the right insurance and the right kind of income. I don't know when we Americans are going to wake up the fact that we have the worst healthcare system in terms of access of all developed nations. Outcome-wise, probably linked to lack of access, we are also down near the bottom of the list.

On another note, I am so sad not to have gotten back to you sooner about this news. I'm sad and angry that Medium has made changes to take away reading choice from members. I can no longer see your stories when you publish them. I have to wait and see if Medium is going to show me your story. They have eliminated the network feed I used everyday for years to scroll down the list of stories by writers I follow.

I hate Medium so much for stealing that simple choice from me. I hate them so very very very much. I'm going to try hard to keep reading your stories despite Medium working to stop me.
